Once upon a time, a four year old in foster care, with only had 20 words vocabulary, went on to graduate from high school as a valedictorian and earn several college degrees. Did you know, only 64% of foster children go on to graduate high school and less than 10% graduate from college? Crys, not knowing these statics when she was challenging her mindset of what success meant, set off into corporate America, armed with her degrees, and ready to live the life she dreamed about.
In 2008, with two toddlers, a house mortgage, and a recession, Crys decided her definition of success was no longer aligned with the life she wanted to life. In a time of chaos, she decided it was the perfect time to launch a business. She still remembers how easy she thought it would be (sound familiar?).
Instead, Crys was working 60-80 hour work weeks and barely making enough revenue to break even, let alone have a profit to scale her company! She was overworked, exhausted, and questioned if every entrepreneur lived this life. She was no longer present for any of her children's activities, games, or family vacations.
Flash forward to present day, Crys absolutely believes in happily ever after. She works 20 hours a week, delegates to her team, challenges the status quo around money every day, and is fully present with her family, and is <> close to living a completely debt free lifestyle. Knowing exactly want financial freedom meant to her allowed her to create a budget around her dreams, making them reality.
